Colton's 1st birthday

We celebrated Colton's 1st birthday on Saturday with Jim's parents, my parents, Paul, Rick & Janell, and Zach & Laura. I had a Curious George theme for his party, and it was very cute! My mom made an AMAZING Curious George cake that Colton had fun devouring! :) He was SO entertaining to watch as he demolished his cake! He was having an absolute BLAST! He ate so much cake that I was seriously afraid he might get sick! Although he got a lot of great presents, I think his favorite thing to play with was the balloons! He had a blast beating them against his face and laughing hysterically! That was during his sugar rush, by the way! :)

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter this year. When I first asked Cooper why we have Easter, he said, "To get Easter eggs." So, I had to set him straight in a hurry! Several days later, I asked him that question again, and he said, "Easter is when baby Jesus died on the cross, and then they put him in a cave, and he became alive again!" So, except for the BABY Jesus part, he seemed to have a pretty good understanding of what Easter really means! We DID do the traditional Easter egg thing, however, and that was a lot of fun. On Saturday (which was a GORGEOUS day), we went to a community Easter egg hunt where they had 3,000 eggs that were gone in about 2 minutes flat! It was amazing how fast those eggs disappeared into Easter egg baskets! Two of Cooper's buddies (Kloe & Reagan) were there, so that made it all the more enjoyable for him! After that, we went home and enjoyed the beautiful weather by playing frisbee and baseball outside. Later that day, Jim took Cooper REAL golfing at Branson Pitch-n-Putt (a par 3 golf course that is perfect for beginners). Cooper had an absolute BLAST and thought he was pretty big stuff! On Easter Sunday, Jim's family came over, and we celebrated Cooper's birthday again and had little Easter egg cakes that Cooper and I made and decorated. It was a fun weekend!

Cooper's 4th birthday!

Cooper celebrated his 4th birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese's. Granny, Papa, the Julians, the Pruietts, and the Hendricksons were all there for the occasion! Cooper had an absolute BLAST! Needless to say, he was asleep within minutes after we got in the car to go home. He played hard! Cooper's main present from me and Jim was a Tiger Woods golf club set--complete with Nike golf balls, golf bag, clubs, and head covers. He was SO excited about his new golf clubs that he told me to take them out of his room at night because he was afraid that he'd try to play with them during the night! :)
