Tonight was a very exciting night for Cooper! It was his long-awaited Awana's Grand Prix Race! Cooper and my dad made a race car for Cooper to enter in the race. Obviously, my dad did about 99.9% of the work, but Cooper did just enough to have some ownership of it! He sanded and spray painted a little! Cooper won 3rd place in his Cubbies division, and his best buddy Kaleb won 2nd place! It was a very exciting race! Each car was raced 8 times and then their times were averaged together. Cooper's best time was 2.44 seconds! Since he placed in the top 3, Cooper then got to participate in the final race with all of the age groups--including the adult age group! He got 6th overall! He received a trophy, certificate for the best "muscle car," pencil, and ribbon! He was on cloud nine! It was a lot of fun!
