Some things I do for fun...

Cooper has had a lot of fun so far this summer. He has enjoyed swimming in Ava, at the RecPlex, and in his new pool; going to Silver Dollar City and Celebration City; playing with his cars (which he does EVERY single day!); riding his new bike that Granny & Papa gave him, playing all kinds of sports; going to the zoo; playing with friends; and going on walks in the evening and looking for lightning bugs and animals!

Colton update

Colton had his 2 month check up yesterday. He weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz. and is in the 90th percentile for weight. Yes, he's a chunk! He weighs 11 oz. more than Cooper did at that age! He is also 22 in. long which is the 80th percentile for height. He got 2 shots too--which contained 5 different vaccines! :( Poor little guy! He cried hard when the needle went in of course, but he was fine after I picked him up and gave him his pacifier. I, however, teared up once he started crying! I thought it would be easier on me with the second child, but it wasn't! It was still torture to see him suffer! He's fine now though, of course, and is sleeping contentedly.

Cooper's first T-Ball game

Cooper had his first REAL t-ball game last Tuesday. It was SO much fun! The kids were SO cute out there! Cooper did a great job! He got someone out, caught the ball several times, and had some great hits! I was so proud! Cooper is number 9, by the way (so you can spot him in the pictures).

Trip to Elk Falls

The boys and I took a weekend trip to Elk Falls last weekend since we wouldn't be able to see my dad on Father's Day. Laura drove us down there since she was going anyway to see Zach (who is living with my parents for the summer while training for his new computer job). Zach & Laura did a lot of wedding planning that weekend since they're getting married Sept. 27th at my parents' Rock Garden. My mom took lots of engagement pics for them too. Cooper had a blast as usual. It was SO funny! When we got there Friday afternoon, it was like he was trying to do EVERYTHING at once! He wanted to get EVERYTHING out--the croquet set, pedal race car, football, mini trampoline, toys, etc.! He would play with each thing for a few minutes and then would run off to pull something else out! In fact, he never even made it to playing with the toys that first afternoon. He dumped out the toy box and then ran off to do something else! It was really funny! The trip home wasn't so fun--since we ran out of gas in the middle of no where (due to a gas guage that was messed up) in the heat of the day with 2 dead cell phones! God was good though because we broke down by the house of an angel who took us to a gas station 2 miles away to get some gas! She was SO nice and we were SO thankful to her! It made for a very memorable trip--that's for sure! The above pics are of Cooper getting a tractor ride, Zach, Laura, and Cooper, and Colton being cute!

Cooper's first T-Ball practice

Cooper had his first t-ball practice last Tuesday. He's on a summer t-ball league that's for 3-5 year olds, and it was SO cute! Cooper did SUCH a good job of listening to Jim and to his coach, Terry. I was so proud of him! All of his little buddies are playing on his team, so it's been a lot of fun for him!

The Rock Garden

Last weekend, we went to mom & dad's house for a long overdue visit. We spent a lot of time at their Rock Garden too. Cooper LOVED it over there! He loved riding my dad's Mule, playing in his "tree house" that my dad made for him, and playing on the bridge in the Rock Garden. Jim spent part of the day Saturday helping my dad work on the Rock Garden house.
